Personal

I was born and raised just north of St. Paul, Minnesota.  My love for reading did not strike until fourth grade when I was introduced to The Babysitter's Club books.  Once I read all that the library had, I moved onto other genres and authors and never looked back.  I knew in ninth grade that I wanted to be a teacher.  I was fortunate to attend excellent public schools with highly qualified and caring teachers.

I graduated from the University of Minnesota and moved to Muscatine in the summer of 2004.  I guest taught extensively in the Davenport and Muscatine schools until I was hired at Madison School in 2007.
